What a SOAF adventure is, who it's for, and what to expect.

What is a SOAF adventure?

More than a trip

SOAF hosts guided adventure retreats and expeditions that emphasize teamwork, physical challenge, and time in remote natural environments. These experiences recreate the sense of purpose and camaraderie familiar to Special Operations veterans.

Our retreats aren't vacations—they're opportunities for Special Operations veterans to reconnect with peers who understand their experiences, rebuild confidence, and rediscover purpose through shared challenge.

    Veterans alongside others who've walked the same path.

  • Not clinical therapy

    Designed for stress relief, mental reset, and reflection.

    Funded by donors and sponsors for participating veterans.

Dual Sport Motorcycle Retreats

Adventure riding in the high alpine passes of Park City, Utah, with dual sport motorcycles provided by Colorado Motorcycle Adventures — plus overlanding, adventure motorcycle training, and backcountry expeditions with Backroads of Appalachia.

Women's Mountain Biking Retreat

A six-day retreat in Colorado's Rocky Mountains for women who served in Special Operations roles — mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and a lifelong community.

Who they're for

The Special Operations community

Programs are open to any service member, male or female, with verifiable service in a Special Operations Command (SOCOM) unit. Whether the service member was an operator or support personnel, the requirement is to have been assigned to a Special Operations unit.
